This chat was so special as I finally got to sit down with my doula partner and birth sister, Kendra Johnson, to chat about one of the many things we feel deeply passionate about—real prenatal care.

Real prenatal care is what women do for themselves to support a healthy pregnancy. Things that are often not discussed by midwives and doctors. Culturally prenatal care is viewed as clinical, when really this is only a small piece of what this time can entail. In reality low-risk women do not benefit from medical care.
